I know

It has become a bad habit of not writing anything here...

I've been quite busy with my makeup-portfolio and the makeups that I had to design for our classes. This week all the stress ends! On 19th I'll be doing a evening makeup for a random client at Omnia and on 21st I'll be doing a fantasy makeup to my best friend. It's a... mother nature+deer thingy. I'll post a picture of it after I've tried doing the whole makeup on Wednesday. I'm currently making the antlers for the makeup and tomorrow I need to hunt some fake-flowers so I can make a crown out of them.

It's Christmas soon! Wohoo!! Vacation and presents, what can be better?! I can then relax for a while. Been so stressed about these showings, almost as much as I did about my last ones. Jeez... I REALLY need a break and soon.

OOOHHH! I totally forgot to tell how it went with the seminar!!! It was badly planned, but we got through it haha! Me and my friend were sooooo damn nervous on the first day. We were so afraid that we'd screw up everything, but eventually we got the message that "it's ok to relax". The Japanese guests that we had were really nice and we had dinner with them at Konsta Möljä. We got to know them better and two of them were willing to help me to find a place in Japan where I could study. I even got their business-cards and they were so happy and bubbly. If I end up getting a place with their help, I will go to Morioka and give them my thanks and presents!

Anyways, going to be lazy for a few minutes and then head to bed. Busy day tomorrow!

I did it gain.. hahaha... sorry for not writing again.

Oh well. I've really been enjoying my special make-up course! But it seems... I'm the only one. Others have pretty much made it clear they don't like it and have not joined the classes. There's an average of 4-5 students, me counted in it, in the classes. Like really? There's 13 of us in our group, but only 4-5 actually joins the classes? Well at least I'm enjoying my time going crazy with ideas with my instructor haha.

It has been decided that I'll be photoing the Japanese food-work group and the making of the food on 29th day. Because of this photo-thing, I've gotten a new friend. She's at the media-side of Omnia and she's also trying to go to Japan. I really hope we both get there! It would be even better if we could get to the same area and live together!

Anyways, I'm back to being a lazy butt.

Whoopsie

Haha, well that 2 times a week lasted long!

Been quite sick and doing anything productive hasn't really been the first thing on my mind. Nothing new to add to current life style. Been learning new makeup stuff and tomorrow I have my practical and theory exam. Doing the makeup for my mom and let me tell you... doing a makeup on a older person is NOT so damn easy. I've done the planning what and how I'm going to do it but it won't make it any easier for me. I bet everyone else is getting a younger person as their client... unfair.

Oh on Wednesday I will be going to the Aurinkokivi side of Omnia to do either feet-treatment, manicure or facial treatment. Don't know which one yet. After that, first special-makeup course day and after THAT I'm going to a meeting to discuss about the Japan seminar that will be held at there on 28th and 29th day of this month. The current arrangement is that I would be doing the photography-part of the whole event but we'll see what I'll really end up doing. I think taking our Japanese guests on a tour around the property sounds more fun to me, but meh.

Things are slowing down

This week my make-up course started!

Not that much have been taught but our amazing male instructor is doing a fine job in my opinion! We have learned the base of the make-up, highlights, contouring and the banana-eye make-up. Sounds fancy eh? So those things are pretty much buzzing in my head and I'm dying to know more! We are using the Ben Nye products at Omnia and to be honest, they are a lot easier to use than my own damn make-up products that I own. Jeez...

Tomorrow I will be leaving to Stockholm with my sisters + second oldest sister's fiancee for a cruise. I will be back on next Tuesday and luckily I have a free day from school. So I don't have to worry about looking fugleh after a cruise and go to Omnia, which is amazing! Even though I would get a free make-up from there... But still!!

Yeah I think it's time to actually set a realistic goal for this blog...

There is no way I can keep blogging every single day, so I'll change it to at least twice a week. (Exception is of course when I'll be in Japan.) I've been neglecting this blog as I've been really stressed about the showings. Trying to memorize everything that they might ask me. I finally managed to finish them. Facial treatment: 2 & 3 and body-treatment 3 & 3. I'm quite proud of myself! Yaaay!

Tomorrow our make-up course starts. It has the day and evening make-up and after that there's the "special make-ups". Such as runway and fantasy make-ups. Should be pretty interesting to see our new male-teacher's way of doing things and his perspective. I have my Duroy brushes ready for some action!

Iloveme-fair weekend (WARNING! photo-heavy!)

Like I promised, here is the "long review"-post about Iloveme-fairs. (Pretty much just a lot of pictures, not much text haha)
I was working at the Omnia + SKY Opisto booth doing only Indian head-massages as the non-Omnia girls didn't know how to do it, except one.
The Prices:

• Quick manicure 10€
• Eyebrow grooming 10€
• Indian head-massage/Neck-shoulder massage 10€

Friday was pretty quiet for us. The area where our booth was, was sealed from the "normal people". Only those who worked in the beauty-area was allowed to enter it. On Saturday I wasn't even supposed to be working there, but I volunteered as there was going to be only one person in the evening if I didn't. The area wasn't sealed anymore and everyone could come there, which meant fully booked the whole day. No free spots at all! Same was with Sunday, fully booked till the end!

I'll be putting aaaaaaall of my photos that I took here, so be prepared for millions of pictures!
